Make sure that when you look them, you pick up both the weapons they have on them AND their gunpowder, makes it easier in the long run.įor those of you who don’t want to go back and grind all that again (I mean, there’s never a reason NOT to, you benefit from it every time), you can also do the tactic of just making gunpowder yourself… which, in my opinion TYPICALLY isn’t worth it unless your a millionaire in Acid, which is a vital resource to other crafting areas.

Now, first and foremost, the locations I listed above, where you grind the steel, these are ALL locations that can provide you a TON of gunpowder as well, as enemies who carry guns, carry gunpowder.

This is the bread and butter of the meal here, folks, and something you will need a LOT of.

Single handedly the most vital piece to all of this Ammo grinding. Give this place a look over if the other locations are proving a challenge.

Now, there are obviously a couple of locations that are better than others, due to the amount of enemies, spawn rate, weapon type, etc., so here are a couple of my favorite steel farming locations: Super important to this grind.ĭepending on your level (I’m looking at you, level 1-40’s), you’ll want to find a location that has ARMED enemies, as actual guns (especially the big ones) can be broken down into more steel than you can mine anywhere in the game. Luckily, there’s quite a few of them, due to the fact that steel can be heavily farmed from the murdering/looting of your enemies!īefore I say ANYTHING else, equip the perk under intelligence “Scrapper.” This perk card can be acquired at the very beginning of the game, and breaks down weapons/armor into WAY more crafting resources. Ammo in Fallout 76 typically need both Lead and Steel (and a LOT of it) to craft all the ammo you need, so you need a solid location to farm it.
